The confirmation process is part of the journey in faith of our young people. It offers them an opportunity to explore the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives, and to examine their personal faith. At the Confirmation service the confirmands publicly acknowledge their commitment to be active in our community of faith.
Confirmation classes are held at church with Pastor Andy. Requirements for confirmation include community service, attendance at worship and class, a faith statement, and attendance at a Deacons’ or Session meeting. Also confirmands are asked to write questions about their faith. These are discussed in class.
If you have a youth entering 8th grade, there is an orientation session for the confirmands and parents held in September. Watch for the announcement. Please contact Pastor Andy if you have any questions.
